Port wine tasting with Karsten Søndergaard

This evening is all about port wine, when Karsten Søndergaard, owner of the iconic Quinta do Pégo property in the Douro Valley, once again visits Hornsleth Cocktails & Wine with a very special tasting of top wines from Pégo and Rozés!

We taste our way through eight selected Port wines, from fresh whites and full-bodied LBVs to intense Vintage and ancient Colheitas:

• 2018 Quinta do Pégo LBV Special Edition
• 2023 Quinta do Pégo Vintage Port
• 2011 Vintage Port
• 2016 Harvest from Pégo
• Rozés Very Old Tawny
• 1950 Rozés Colheita - a historic glass in a special class!

Port wine has a special ability to age and develop depth and complexity over decades, and this particular evening you will have the opportunity to taste how time, terroir and dedication merge in the glass.

Look forward to experiencing how the down-to-earth owner shares his passion and unique knowledge of the Douro Valley's terroir and traditions, and gain a very special insight into life as a vineyard owner in the heart of one of the world's oldest wine regions!

To complete the tasting, the wines will be accompanied by light snacks along the way.
