Environmental certifications that oblige

Hotel Randers has been awarded the Green Key eco-label and is part of the UNGC. It is not only our guests who must make demands of us when it comes to being responsible about green choices and sustainable conditions for our employees, but also ourselves. And that is an obligation.

This means in concrete terms that we meet a wide range of environmental requirements; everything from the choice of cleaning agents to energy savings and waste sorting.

Upcykling

Hotel Randers' history dates back to 1856. This means that we have many pieces of furniture and effects that have been in the hotel for more than 100 years. We often find these items and upcycle them so that they can be used even longer.

Most recently, we renovated chairs to be used in our Hornsleth wine & cocktail bar. We think it makes sense, not only for aesthetic reasons, but also for our planet. We occasionally sell the things we no longer use at flea markets so that they can find new homes. In the end, we collected a whopping DKK 41,083, which was donated to the children's ward at Randers Hospital.

If our equipment breaks, it could be a kitchen appliance, we always try to get it repaired first.
