Hotel Randers takes data protection very seriously and, with this privacy policy, wants to provide you with information about what data we have to collect, how we use it and how you can correct or change the collected data yourself. We believe that the protection of your private data has top priority. Therefore, we see it as a matter of course to comply with the strictest legal provisions on data protection. We firmly believe that data protection starts with transparency. Therefore, it is our concern that you always know what personal data we store, how we use it and also how you can restrict or prevent the use of your data.
1. What is personal data?
Personal data is all kinds of information about personal and factual circumstances concerning a specific or identifiable person. This includes information and details such as your (real) name, your address or other postal address, as well as your e-mail address and your telephone number. Information that does not make it possible to determine your identity falls outside this category. Such information is, for example: All details without any reference to your name, e.g. only a statement of gender, age or education.
2. Use and disclosure of personal data
Hotel Randers is committed to protecting your privacy and only uses your personal information internally. This includes your profile information, booking history and browser history. The information is only passed on to other companies if it is necessary for the fulfillment of the agreements you have entered into with us, or for other strictly agreed performance of services. In addition, your personal information is not passed on to third parties unless you have expressly given your consent to this, or if we are legally obliged to provide the information, e.g. in connection with demands from the court or authorities.
3. Contact
When you contact us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail), we store the information entered for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions until the processing is completed.
4. Newsletter
With our newsletter we inform you about news and offers. If you wish to receive the newsletter, we need a valid email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. This data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.
If you have signed up for the newsletter from Hotel Randers, your registration data will be used to send you the newsletter. Your information will not be passed on to third parties. The only exceptions to this are partner companies that are responsible for the technical handling of the shipping process. In these cases, the scope of the data passed on is limited to an absolute minimum. Our personal data policy is in accordance with the Personal Data and Marketing Act.
When you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your IP address and the date of subscription. This information serves solely as evidence in the event that a third party misuses an email address and subscribes to the newsletter without the legitimate owner being aware of it. You can revoke your consent to us storing your data and email address and using the latter to send you the newsletter at any time. You can revoke your consent via a link in the newsletter itself, in your profile area or by sending a message to the contact options listed in section 11.
5. Benefits
If you sign up for our guest club Benefits, we will store the information you enter into the system together with information about which hotel stays you have had. You can log in to Benefits at any time, change your information, add or delete information and request to cancel your membership, after which your data will be deleted. 6. Gift card purchase
If you purchase a gift card, we will store the general personal information you provide when purchasing. The information is stored for five years in accordance with the Danish Accounting Act. This information is used exclusively for documentation and is not passed on to third parties. The only exceptions to this are partner companies that are responsible for the technical handling of the shipping process. 7. Reservation of hotel stay or room
When you book a hotel room or a hotel stay through Hotel Randers either on the website or by personal contact, we collect the information you provide and forward it to the hotel. The information is passed on to data processors if necessary to complete the reservation you have made with the hotel.
8. Use of cookies
Cookies are text files that contain information that allows us to identify returning users. This is only for as long as they visit our websites. Cookies are stored on your computer's hard drive. They do not cause any damage to the hard drive. The cookies used on our websites do not contain any personal information about you.
Cookies save you from having to enter your data multiple times, and they make it easier for you to communicate certain content. They also help us identify particularly popular areas of our web profile. This enables us, among other things, to tailor the content on our websites precisely to your wishes. 9. Data collection through the use of Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. Google Analytics uses so-called “Cookies”. In this case, no personal user data is stored, only the IP address. This information is intended to automatically recognize you when you visit the site again, and thus make it easier for you to navigate around the site. 10. Collection and storage of user data
